Michelle Cross

Biography

Michelle Cross is obsessed with her music. "I [play and write music] all the time. When I don't have a job I'm playing 14 hours a day. When I do have a job I play 4 or 5 hours a day. I have to do it everyday… as much as I can squeeze in." She describes her songs as therapeutic and very personal. "It's like my journal" although she admits she likes to "steal shoes" a lot.

Sprinkled with classical influences and firmly supported by strong vocals, Cross's songs tend to have a darker moodier feel to them. At times, there is a lot of aggression and rhythm in her piano playing, yet even at its most gentle moments her powerfully emotional and melodic piano-based songs have caused listeners to sit-up and pay attention." At last!
Welcome! Yes, we have finally finished everything and we are ready for you all to see and hear what we've put together. We really thought we were on track to get everything done and ready by the end of last year, but it's surprising what comes up and how things get pushed back. But we feel it's been worth it, because we're really proud of what we've completed. We hope you take the time to check it out. And then talk about it, share it with your friends, let us know what you think. We always appreciate any feedback.

And now a few words from Michelle:

Good Afternoon!

I must say, it is pleasantly cloudy today. I'm a little nervous to tell you all that I'm finally ready to show you the goods. I'm leaving my doors unlocked, so to speak. I was feelin' pretty good there for a while, but now, I'm filled with doubt and apprehension. I know it shouldn't matter what people think, etc. etc., but golly. I'm sure there are those of you who understand this feeling. But, oh well - here we go. I do hope you like it.

It's been suggested to me that I keep a "journal" at this here site. I like that idea, but I insist that I write you "letters" instead - from an old ship from another time, if that's all right (or maybe I should just keep that part to myself). Knowing me, I definitely won't be able to keep it fresh everyday, but maybe every couple'a weeks? Just like in the olden days?

Anyhow, welcome. Thank you for coming to my website, beautifully redone by Mz. Brianna. PS - some of the vox on the WZRD tunes are really bad, but Matty Poo insisted we keep them up for the sake of the tunes. I already realize this, I don't need anyone else to point this out to me. You've got'ta appreciate the drama, at least. I sound crazy on there. Enjoy.

Humbly Yours,
Michelle

Oh my--The Launch!
Everyone, I hope this marks the beginning of a great relationship between us all.

I've been a huge fan of Michelle's for quite some time, and to design this site for her is an honor.

She'll be posting in the next few days, so expect that, but know that we'll also be including new content as the site matures.

Thank you for being a part of this.
